Rapztapahan - Kaingen Kawit

My daughter keeps on telling me that there's a new "SILOG" place just below Kumon Kawit.

"Silog" is a famous breakfast meal to us Filipinos.

I was able to finally try the new "Tapsihan" last Saturday.

Raztapahan Kaingen Kawit is located at Bayani Street, Kaingen, Kawit, Cavite.

They offer variuos "silog meals" as well as shakes.

For our drinks, we ordered Chocolate Kisses Shake topped with sprinkles and my daughter ordered Buco Pandan Shake topped with Marshmallows.

My daughter ordered her favorite HOTsilog and I tried their TOCIlog.

Their best seller is Super Tapsi which is actually a generous amount of TAPA + Fried Rice + Two eggs. I'll go dine in again some time to try this. Their other Silog Meals looks very enticing as well.

Like most tapsihan, their prices are very affordable. Average dining with all the extras (extra rice, shake or softdrinks)  is less than a hundred pesos.

Rapztapahan have their Noveleta Branch near Teacher's Village.

You can visit their Facebook Page: Rapztapahan Kaingen
Note: They post pictures of their customers on a daily basis.

Baldomero Aguinaldo Shrine - Home of another Aguinaldo

Almost every town in Cavite has a huge historical significance. Not far from the famous Aguinaldo Shrine lies another historical place, the Baldomero Aguinaldo Shrine.

General Baldomero Aguinaldo was the first cousin of General Emilio Aguinaldo who became his right hand. He together with Emilio organized the Magdalo faction of Katipunan. While Emilio concentrated on the military side, Baldomero was more on the administrative function. He was the First President of the Association de los Veteranos dela Revolucion Filipina.

Baldomero Aguinaldo Shrine is located in a quiet neighbourhood in Binakayan, Kawit Cavite. It was the second national shrine to be established in the historical town of Kawit Cavite. Whilst the house of General Emilio Aguinaldo imposes a grand structure, General Baldomero's house is modest in scale which is basically a two-storey house adorned with simple details. But of course, it is worth visiting. The entrance is free but donations are a very big help in maintaining the beauty of the place.

The front view of the house. Looks like the house in Vigan.

The back view of the house.

The lower ground floor is widely open where they do film showings for the guests.

The wooden stairs that will lead you to the second floor living room. Don't you love the details on the ceiling?

The coffee table and chairs in the living room.

What I love most about this house are the slanted bamboo flooring and their widely opened windows. It makes the whole house well ventilated.

With one of their staff Ate Rita.

Dani and Candy attentively listening to the staff while Sam puts her name in the list of guests.

Sam enjoying the view.

Just like his first cousin Emilio, General Baldomero's tomb is also located at the backyard.

Baldomero Aguinaldo Shrine is open Tuesday to Saturday, 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM; 1:00 PM to 4:00PM.
